About Us

The Summit7 Mission

Summit 7 was founded with a clear purpose, to expand access to care by removing structural barriers that prevent clinicians from practicing at the top of their license.

In many states, nurse practitioners and physician assistants cannot practice or obtain licensure without a collaborating physician, creating a bottleneck that limits patient access nationwide. Summit 7 exists to solve that problem at scale.

Why “Summit7”

The name reflects both Dr. Janssens’ personal philosophy and professional approach. In mountaineering, the Seven Summits represent the highest peak on each continent, each climb requiring preparation, resilience, and persistence. In medicine and business, the work is no different. Challenges are complex, solutions are rarely obvious, and success requires commitment until the summit is reached.

As an accomplished mountaineer who has summited multiple international peaks and continues to pursue the Seven Summits, Dr. Janssens brings the same mindset to healthcare, keep moving forward, solve the problem in front of you, and never stop until the answer is found.
